Dimensions, distances, human proportions, depicted walking and standing, together with footprints or steps set down for the record on paper, on a wooden table or portrayed in threedimensional wooden cubes: all part of the work of Stanley Brouwn (*1935, Surinam), fluxus/conceptual artist from the Netherlands.

Martina Klein (*1962, Trier) enables the viewer to experience a room with coloured panels leaning against a wall at a slant or projecting into the room at various heights and angles from different sides, often from the reverse of a canvas. Nothing is concealed. The oil paint prepared by the artist herself with a lavish use of pigment is not just colour – it is also light, time, space, sculpture.

Selected photographs by Balthasar Burkhard (1944-2010) bear witness to his life’s work. The typically largeformat pictures magnetically draw the observer into the mysterious scenic depths of his world.
